Weekend Highlights: Shopping Events, Game Night, Ugly Sweater Brunch and More!

So you made it through final season! Whoo hoo time to celebrate. And if you’re still in it, well…you deserve a study break to “Find your Fab!”. Check back for updates and tell ’em you saw it on BostonFab!

Wednesday, December 17th

Mix and PlayTis the season for giving! Mix and play for a purpose at Lir (903 Boylston St, Back Bay) 6:00pm – 10:00pm. This game night will be a great way to reunite with friends, meet some new folks, and support a great organization at the same time! 100% of all proceeds will be donated to Bird Street Community Center. The suggested minimum donation is only $5. There will also be a raffle of  a “Game Night Starter Kit” that will include popular games for a promising night of fun! Take the Test Boston will provide  an opportunity to mix and mingle with volunteers, partnering organizations, supporters and potential new volunteers in a social atmosphere at Bill’s Bar and Lounge (5 Lansdowne St) 6:30pm – 9:30pm.  The event will feature free food and free entertainment as well as a Shea Rose’s performance talk  Someone Stole My Voice Again”. Friday, December 19th

Join the women of iLab for a holiday party full of apps, drinks (first one free!), speakers, raffles and  giveaways, music and more!  at The Living Room (101 Atlantic Ave, North End) 7:00pm – 10:00pm. Proceeds benefit Dress for Success, so bring a gently used work outfit that can be donated. Tickets are $25.00, and you can purchase them here!

Saturday, December 20th

Artist Marlon Forrester considers the junction of African American males, guns, and art in a walking contemplation through two galleries of Luminos/City. Part of a series of “In-Gallery Talks” located in the intimate spaces of the Cooper Gallery (102 Mt. Auburn St, Cambridge) 1:45pm – 3:00pm. RSVP is required.
